In 1975, a modified ’54 Les Paul equipped with two humbuckers, nickel Schaller tuners and an Oxblood finish was featured prominently on the cover Jeff Beck’s legendary release entitled “Blow by Blow”.
Jeff Beck made a ’54 Goldtop all his own with a series of modifications. The simplicity of a stoptail and humbuckers really appeals to me. And there’s something about the Oxblood finish that is so cool. A deep chocolate finish that puts all the focus on the player.
This particular Les Paul is one of my main go-to LPs for studio work. It delivers every time. High quality output, great feeling neck, and a finish that’s really kind to heavy
I don’t collect Signature Series Les Paul guitars, but for this amazing modified ’54, I think I can make an exception.
