GIbson's Heritage line launched in 1980, was their first official production of reissues trying to recreate the magic of the late '50s bursts. Although not completely accurate as a reissue, these guitars were extremely well made and are highly sought after today.
This particular guitar has a deep flame top with rich cherry red and golden orange center, making it one of the best cherry bursts I've seen. And of course, it had the legendary Tim Shaw Humbuckers.
In many ways, this guitar reminds me of the famous "Donna" burst which has been reproduced by Gibson in recent years.
I found this guitar in Zurich, Switzerland proving further that sometimes you have to travel far and wide to find "the" guitar you are looking for.
