A Player's Player

Sometimes it's really hard to know exactly why a guitar plays and sounds especially great. This is one of those guitars. One hundred percent all original in every way.

I cherish each and every one of my Ricks for their beauty, craftmanship and tone. I love that Rickenbacker 4001 sound. And of all the Rickenbacker 4001 bass guitars in my collection, for some reason, this one is the best playing and sounding of them all. Why? I'm not exactly sure, but it may have to do with the decades of playing, recording and touring this fine instrument has seen.

Acquired from the original owner, he bought this guitar upon graduating highschool with money he received for his musical talents. He and this bass went on to play many a gig, many a recording, and all with great tender love and care.

She has an amazingly dark fretboard which makes the crushed pearl inlays jump off stealing the visual show. In addition to her checkerboard binding and toaster neck pickup she also hosts an original horseshoe pick up cover. Together, all these elements come together to make for a gorgeous looking guitar with brilliant tone.
