Clear Plastic Finger Rest
Rich Red Fireglo Finish
My first Rickenbacker 4001 bass guitar was a 1975 Fire Glo. I sold it decades ago, and have lamented that decision ever since. As such, I knew my 4001 collection would never be complete without a ‘70s era Fire Glo.
This is one very special 1972 Fire Glo. In excellent condition this bass guitar was played often and has a wonderful warm, broken in feel. Notice the wear mark through the finish between the pickguard and lower bridge pickup.Super smooth to play, it also has all of the classic appointments of the 4001 prior to 1973, including crushed pearl inlays, checkerboard binding, toaster pick up, closed back Grover tuners and the clear plastic finger rest.
The color remains a deep and rich red with a subtle burst that really shows off the hardware.
